বিয়ের পর দাম্পত্য জীবন মধুর করতে নারীর পাশাপাশি প্রতিটি সংসারে স্বামীর ভূমিকা বেশ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। সুখের দাম্পত্য গড়ে তুলতে অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই সংসারে স্বামীর ভূমিকা স্ত্রীর চাইতে বেশি। স্বামী নিজেকে কেবল অর্থ উপার্জনে ব্যস্ত রাখলেই চলবে না বরং স্ত্রী ও সংসারের প্রতি থাকতে হবে সমান মনোযোগ। এখন বেশীরভাগ সচেতন নারীই চান বিয়ের পরও চাকরি বা ব্যবসা চালিয়ে যেতে। তাই কর্মজীবনে ব্যস্ততা তাদেরও থাকে। সুতরাং নিজের কর্মজীবনের ব্যস্ততা দেখিয়ে স্ত্রীকে অবহেলা করা যাবে না। স্বামী যদি স্ত্রীর প্রতি যথাযথ দায়িত্ব পালন না করে- তাহলে শুধু রমণীর গুণে সংসার সুখী হতে পারে না।

বৈবাহিক জীবনের উদ্দেশ্য হচ্ছে পারিবারিক ও মানসিক শান্তি। সংসারে তাই স্বামী-স্ত্রীর সম্পর্ক হতে হবে বন্ধুসুলভ। স্বামীর যেমন স্ত্রীর থেকে ভালো ব্যবহার পাওয়ার অধিকার আছে, তেমনি স্ত্রীরও অধিকার আছে স্বামী থেকে ভালো ব্যবহার পাওয়ার। একটি সুখী স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যের পরিবার গঠন করতে হলে সংসারে স্বামীর ভূমিকা হিসেবে অবশ্যই তাঁর দায়িত্ব-কর্তব্য এবং অধিকার সম্পর্কে সচেতন হতে হবে। আজ আমরা এমন কিছু জরুরী বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচনা করবো যেগুলোর মাধ্যমে আপনি খুব সহজেই নিজেকে দায়িত্বশীল ও সফল স্বামীরূপে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে পারবেন।

সংসারে স্বামীর ভূমিকা- স্ত্রীকে গভীরভাবে ভালবাসুন 

আদর্শ স্বামী হওয়ার প্রথম শর্তই হল, স্ত্রীকে ভালোবাসা। নিজের ভালো বোঝার পাশাপাশি স্ত্রীর প্রতিও সমান যত্নবান হোন। আপনার স্ত্রীর খাওয়াদাওয়া, শরীর, মনের প্রতি খেয়াল রাখুন। আপনার অনেক ভালো বন্ধু থাকতেই পারে, কিন্তু জীবনসঙ্গিনী আপনার সুখে-দুঃখে সবসময় পাশে থাকবে। তাই স্ত্রী-কে বন্ধুর মতো দেখুন, সব সমস্যা শেয়ার করুন। আপনার দায়িত্বে অবহেলা করা বা দায়িত্ব থেকে পালিয়ে যাবেন না-বিশ্বাস করুন, আপনিই আদর্শ স্বামী।

প্রিয়তমার জন্য নিজেকে সাজান

আপনার জীবনসঙ্গীনীর জন্য সুন্দর পোশাক পরিধান করুন, স্ত্রী ভালোবাসে এমন পারফিউম ব্যবহার করুন। মনে রাখবেন যেভাবে আপনি চান আপনার স্ত্রী আপনার জন্য সেজে থাকুক, ঠিক সেভাবেই আপনার স্ত্রীও চায় আপনি তার জন্য সেজে থাকুন। প্রতিদিন ভালোবাসার কথা তাকে জানান। তার সাথে সবসময় হাসিমুখে কথা বলুন।

আদর্শ জীবনসঙ্গী খুঁজতে

কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করুন

আপনার স্ত্রী আপনার জন্য, আপনার সংসারের জন্য কষ্ট করে যে কাজগুলো করছে সেগুলোর জন্য খোলা মনে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করুন। তিনি আপনার জীবনে আছে বলেই জীবন সুন্দর, সংসার সুন্দর, আপনার জীবন চমৎকার ভাবে চলছে। তাই স্ত্রীর প্রতিটি ভালো কাজে উৎসাহ দিন। তাঁর গুণ ও পরিশ্রমের মূল্যায়ন করুন। স্ত্রী যদি শখ করে আপনাকে কোন উপহার দেয় তাহলে সানন্দে গ্রহণ করুন।  ভালোবাসার মানুষকে যত ধন্যবাদ জানাবেন, সম্পর্ক তত সুন্দর হয়ে উঠবে।

স্ত্রীর সঙ্গে সুন্দর সময় কাটান

নতুন বিয়ের পর মেহমান, আত্মীয় স্বজন আর বন্ধুদের আনাগোনা তো থাকবেই। তবু এর মাঝেও নিজেদের মতন করে একটু সময় বের করে নিন। প্রতিদিনই চেষ্টা করুন কিছুটা সময় পরস্পরকে আলাদা করে দেয়ার। বাইরে কোথাও যেতে না পারলে বাসায় বসেই দুজন মিলে দেখে ফেলুন রোমান্টিক কোন মুভি, দুজনের পুরোনো দিনের তোলা ছবিগুলো একসাথে দেখতে পারেন।

আপনার স্ত্রী যদি গৃহিণী হয় তাহলে তাঁকে সবসময় চার দেয়ালের মধ্যে বন্দি করে রাখবেন না। সময় পেলেই স্ত্রীকে নিয়ে তাঁর প্রিয় কোন রেস্টুরেন্টে খেতে যান অথবা প্রিয় কোন জায়গা থেকে ঘুরে আসুন। স্ত্রীর সাথে সবসময় হাসি মুখে কথা বলুন। মন ভালো রাখতে মাঝে মধ্যে হাসি ঠাট্টা করুন, তার মন ভালো করে দিন। এতে করে আপনাদের মাঝে ভালোবাসা বাড়বে, আপনার স্ত্রীর মধ্যে সতেজতা আসবে।

সংসারে স্বামীর ভূমিকা- বিশেষ দিনগুলো ভুলবেন না

পরস্পরের জন্মদিন, বিবাহবার্ষিকী, প্রপোজ করা আর সেই সাথে আরো নানা ব্যাক্তিগত স্মৃতিময় দিনগুলো ভুলে যাবেন না। মোবাইলে রিমাইন্ডার দিয়ে রাখুন, ডায়েরীতে লিখে রাখুন বা রঙ্গিন কালিতে দাগিয়ে রাখুন ক্যালেন্ডারেই। আর বিশেষ দিনগুলো কাটান একটু বিশেষভাবে।

সংসারে স্বামীর ভূমিকা- গোপনীয়তা মেনে চলুন

সংসারে আপনাদের দুজনের ব্যক্তিগত এবং একান্ত পারিবারিক বিষয়গুলো কখনোই অন্যের কাছে প্রকাশ করবেন না। আপনার জীবনসঙ্গীনীকে কোনো ভুল করতে দেখলে তা সযত্নে এড়িয়ে চলুন। একসাথে থাকতে গেলে পরস্পরের অনেক বিষয় ভালো নাও লাগতে পারে। তার মানে এই নয় যে তক্ষুণি এর সমাধান বের করতে হবে। চিৎকার জুড়ে দিয়ে লাভ নেই। বরং ধৈর্য ধরুন। ছোট ছোট অপ্রাপ্তির জায়গাগুলো নিয়ে ধীরে ধীরে তাকে বুঝিয়ে বলুন। এমনও তো হতে পারে আপনার অনেক বিষয় তার পছন্দ নয়। সুতরাং বদলাতে হবে দুজনকেই।

জীবনসঙ্গীনীকে খুশি করুন

স্ত্রীকে বলুন, সে যেন এমন দশটি কাজের কথা আপনাকে বলে যেগুলো আপনি তার জন্য করলে তার ভালো লাগবে- সে খুশি হবে। তার থেকে জেনে নিয়ে তাকে খুশি করার জন্য আপনি সেগুলো করুন। অনেক সময় সে সরাসরি না বললে আপনার পক্ষে বুঝা কষ্টকর হবে যে, আপনি কী করলে সে খুশি হবে। তাই সবসময় নিজে থেকে অনুমান করার চেষ্টা করবেন না। বরং মাঝে-মধ্যে সরাসরি সঙ্গীনী থেকে জেনে নেবেন। সপ্তাহের অন্যান্য দিন সম্ভব না হলেও ছুটির দিনগুলোতে চেস্টা করুন আপনার স্ত্রীর গৃহস্থালির কাজে সাহায্য, এতে ভালোবাসা বাড়বে- বৈ কমবে না।

সংসারে স্বামীর ভূমিকা- আলোচনা করে সিদ্ধান্ত নিন

সংসার আপনার একার নয়, আপনার স্ত্রীরও। তাই পরিবারের সমস্ত বড় সিদ্ধান্তগুলো দুজনে একসাথে আলোচনার মাধ্যমে সিদ্ধান্ত নিন। বিয়ের আগে যেসব ব্যাপারে আপনি একাই সিদ্ধান্ত নিতেন, সেগুলোতে স্ত্রীকে ডাকুন। দুজনে মিলে আলোচনা করে সিদ্ধান্ত নিলে দেখবেন সবচেয়ে সহজে ডিসিশন নিতে পারবেন। এছাড়া যেসব কাজ স্ত্রী একাই করেন, সেগুলোতে আপনি সাহায্য করুন।

তাঁর সুবিধার প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখুন

একজন স্বামীর দায়িত্ব হলো স্ত্রীর কথাকে মর্যাদা দেয়া। পারিবারিক স্বৈরতন্ত্র প্রতিষ্ঠা করবেন না। জীবনসঙ্গীনীর আগ্রহগুলোকে ছোট মনে করবেন না, তাকে সুখী করার চেষ্টা করুন। অনেক স্বামী নিজের স্ত্রীর আগ্রহের প্রতি কোনো ভ্রুক্ষেপ করে না, একে কোনো বিষয়ই মনে করে না। এমনটি ভুলেও কখনও করবেন না। স্ত্রীর যেকোন দাবিকে মূল্যায়ন করতে হবে। স্বামীকে মনে রাখতে হবে তার স্ত্রী হলো তার অর্ধাংশ। তাই স্ত্রী যেকোন বিষয়ে মতামত প্রদান করার অধিকার রাখে।

সংসারে স্বামীর ভূমিকা- লজ্জা ঝেড়ে ফেলুন

প্রিয়তমার চোখে চোখ রাখা, তার কাজের মধ্যখান দিয়ে হুট করে চুমু দিয়ে আসা, আপনার ভালোবাসার গভীরতাকে আপনার স্ত্রীর অন্তরে পৌছুতে সাহায্য করবে। ভালোবাসা লুকোনোর বিষয় নয়, তাই লজ্জা ভুলে একে অপরের সম্মুখে ভালোবাসা প্রকাশ করা শুরু করুন। মাঝেমাঝে হাতে তুলে খাইয়ে দিন, মাথায় হাত বুলিয়ে দিন। একে অপরের সাথে নিয়মিত মিলিত হোন, কাছে টানুন।

স্ত্রীকে আঘাত কিংবা মারধর করবেন না

আপনার দায়িত্ব স্ত্রীর যত্ন এবং নিরাপত্তা রক্ষা করা। বিয়ের পর এক ছাদের নিচে থাকতে থাকতে পরস্পরের ব্যক্তিত্বের অনেক অজানা দিক আপনাদের সামনে আসবে এবং তা নিয়ে তর্কাতর্কি বা ঝগড়াঝাঁটি হওয়া খুব স্বাভাবিক। পরস্পরের মধ্যে যদি কখনো বাত বিতণ্ডা হয় তবে উভয় পক্ষকে ধৈর্য ধারণ করতে হবে। যে বিষয়গুলো নিয়ে আপনাদের মতের অমিল হচ্ছে, সে সবের মীমাংসা খোঁজাটা খুব দরকার। মাথা ঠান্ডা রেখে ভাবুন, কীভাবে সমস্যার সমাধান পাওয়া যায়। আর কখনো স্ত্রীর মুখে বা শরীরে আঘাত করবেন না।

ধর্মীয় বিধি–বিধান পালনে উৎসাহ দিন

স্ত্রীকে দ্বীন পালনে উৎসাহ প্রদান করবেন। স্ত্রীর ইসলামের জ্ঞান না থাকলে তাকে অবশ্যই ইসলামী জ্ঞান প্রদান করতে হবে। স্ত্রী যাতে প্রতিদিনের ইসলামী হুকুম পালন করতে পারে, এজন্য সর্বোচ্চ চেষ্টা করতে হবে। সে যাতে নামায পরে এজন্য চাপ প্রয়োগ করতে হবে। আবার এমন কিছু তার উপর চাপিয়ে দেয়া যাবে না যা তার ইসলাম পালনে বাঁধা তৈরি করে। তার পর্দার বিধান নষ্ট হয় এমন কোন কাজ করা যাবে না।

মা–বাবা এবং স্ত্রীর মাঝে ভারসাম্য করে চলুন

আপনার জীবনে আপনার মা-বাবা যেমন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, তেমনি আপনার স্ত্রীও জীবনের অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ। যদি কখনো তাদের মাঝে কোন সমস্যা দেখেন, তাহলে সর্বোচ্চ চেষ্টা করে সমস্যার সমাধান করুন। বাবা-মাকে বুঝতে দিন যে তিনি তাঁদের আপন ছিলেন, এখনও আপন আছেন। স্ত্রীকে বোঝান যে তাকে ছাড়া আপনার জীবন মূল্যহীন। কখনোই বাবা-মায়ের দূর্বলতা স্ত্রীর কাছে আর স্ত্রীর দূর্বলতা বাবা-মায়ের কাছে বলবেন না। সংসারে স্ত্রীকে যেমন সময় দিবেন, তেমন সময় দিবেন মা-বাবাকেও। কেউই যেন এটা না বুঝে যে সে আপনার কাছ থেকে ‘কম গুরুত্ব’ পাচ্ছে।

স্ত্রীর পিতা–মাতাকে সম্মান করুন

স্ত্রীর পিতা-মাতা তথা শ্বশুর শাশুড়িকে সম্মান করুন। সেই সাথে স্ত্রীর পরিবারের অনান্য সদস্যর সাথেও সুন্দর সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখার চেষ্টা করুন। এমন কোন ব্যবহার বা আচরণ করবেন না যার দ্বারা স্ত্রীর পরিবারের কেউ কষ্ট পায় কারণ পরিবারের কষ্ট স্ত্রীর অন্তরেও আঘাত করে। আপনি যখন স্ত্রীর পরিবারের সাথে ভালো ব্যবহার করবেন তখন সেও আপনার পরিবারের সাথে ভাল ব্যবহারের উৎসাহ পাবে। তাই স্বামীদের উচিত স্ত্রী পক্ষের আত্মীয়ের এবং পরিবারের দেখাশোনা করা, এবং স্ত্রীর উচিত স্বামীর পরিবারের এবং আত্মীয়ের দেখভাল করা। তবেই একে অপরের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা বৃদ্ধি পাবে এবং ভালোবাসা অটুট থাকবে।

স্বামী এবং স্ত্রী কখনোই একজন আরেক জনের প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী নয়, বরং পরিপূরক। সুখী ও সুন্দর দাম্পত্য জীবন গঠনে স্বামী-স্ত্রী উভয়কে ভূমিকা রাখতে হয়। উভয়কেই পরস্পরপরের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল হতে হয়। তাই স্ত্রী ও সংসারের প্রতি ভালোবাসা, শ্রদ্ধা ও মনোযোগ দিতে হবে। এতে যেমন সম্পর্ক মধুর থাকবে তেমনি আপনিও যোগ্য স্বামী হয়ে উঠবেন।
