অনেকেই বলে থাকেন, শীত আর বিয়ের সঙ্গে মধুর একটা সম্পর্ক জড়িয়ে আছে। বছরের যেকোনো সময়ের তুলনায় শীতকালে বিয়ে করার ধুম পড়ে যায়। বুদ্ধিমানরা শীতেই বিয়ে করে! তাই নিজের জন্য শীত থাকতেই বিয়ে করার মতো পাত্রী খোঁজেন অনেকেই। আবার অনেকে আগে থেকেই নিজের পছন্দের পাত্রী ঠিক করে রাখেন। নিজের পছন্দের পাত্রীর সাথে তাই শীতে পরিণয় থেক প্রণয় হয়।

এককথায় শীতকে বলা হয় বিয়ের মৌসুম। প্রতিবছর শীতে নিশ্চয়ই অনেকগুলো করে বিয়ের দাওয়াত পেয়ে থাকেন? একটু ভেবে বলুন তো, শীত এলেই কেন চারপাশে বিয়ের এত আয়োজন? আসলেই শীতকাল কি বিয়ের জন্য পারফেক্ট?

বিয়ে নিয়ে নানান জনের রয়েছে নানান মত। কেউ বিয়েকে জীবনের পরম পাওয়া বলছেন। বিয়ের আগে পর্যন্ত একজন জানতেন না সত্যিকারের সুখ কাকে বলে যখন জানলেন তখন বড্ড দেরি হয়ে গেছে।

কথা সাহিত্যিক শরৎচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায় এর মতে-

”যাকে তাকে গছিয়ে দেওয়ার নামই বিয়ে নয়! মনের মিল না হলে বিয়ে করাই ভুল”

১. লম্বা ছুটি

বেশিরভাগ স্কুলে নভেম্বরের মধ্যে পরীক্ষা শেষ হয়ে যায়। অতএব ছেলে-মেয়েদের বার্ষিক পরীক্ষা শেষে ডিসেম্বরে স্কুল বন্ধ থাকে। এসময় তাদের সঙ্গে ছুটি মিলিয়ে বড়রাও সহজে বেড়াতে যেতে পারেন। এ সুযোগেই সব আত্মীয়-পরিজন একত্রিত হতে পারেন। বছরের অন্যান্য সময় সবাইকে একত্রে পাওয়া অতটা সহজ নয়। তাই বিয়ের জন্য বেশিরভাগ মানুষ শীতকালই বেছে নেন।

২. শীতকালে বিয়ে করলে হবে কম পরিশ্রম

দাওয়াত, খাওয়া-দাওয়া, প্যান্ডেলসহ কতো কাজই না করতে হয় বিয়েতে! এই কাজগুলো সবাই মিলে হাত লাগিয়ে সারতে হয়। রাত জাগা, প্রভৃতি উৎপাতে এনার্জি খরচ হয় বিস্তর। গরমের দিনে একটু পরিশ্রম করলেই হাঁপিয়ে উঠতে হয়। কিন্তু শীতকালে বিয়ে হলে সেই ভয় একদমই নেই। বরং কাজ করলে শীতের অনুভূতিটা কম হয়। বিয়েতে হাজারটা কাজ করার লোকের অভাব হয় না। সবাই স্বতঃস্ফূর্তভাবে কাজ করে দিতে আগ্রহী থাকে। তাই বিয়ের জন্য শীতই পারফেক্ট সময়।

৩. শীতকালে বিয়ে এর সাজ

বিয়েতে বর-বউ দুজনকেই সাজতে হয়। বরের সাজ নিয়ে খুব বেশি চিন্তা না থাকলেও বিয়ের সাজে কনেকে দেখতে সবার থেকে সুন্দর লাগা চাই। আর তাইতো মনের মতো করে সাজতে চান প্রত্যেক কনেই। শীত বাদে বাকি সময়টায় মেকআপ লাগিয়ে সাজলে মুশকিল। একটু বেশি ঘামলেই গলে গলে পড়ে সব সাজ। তাই কনের সাজ হোক বা বরের, শীতকালে বিয়ে হলে যত খুশি সাজুন, নষ্ট হওয়ার এতটুকু ভয় নেই। আর বর-কনে ছাড়া বাকিরাও বিয়েবাড়ির সাজের আনন্দ নিতে পারেন চুটিয়ে।

৪. ভরপুর খাওয়া দাওয়া

পোলাও, বিরিয়ানী, রোস্ট, রেজালা, মাংসের চপ, বেগুনি – বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠানে এগুলো একেবারে কমন আইটেম। কিন্তু গরমের সময়ে খেতে হয় রয়ে-সয়ে। খাবারে একটু এদিক-সেদিক হলেই পেটের ভেতর অস্থিরতা শুরু হয়ে যায়। কিন্তু শীতকালে বিয়ে হলে সেই চিন্তা নেই। এমনিতেই নানা পিঠাপুলি পেট ভরে খাওয়া হয়, পাশাপাশি দাওয়াতও খাওয়া যায় একেবারে কবজি ডুবিয়ে। শীতকালে খাবার সংরক্ষণের কোনো চাপ বা টেনশন থাকে না। রান্না করা খাবার সহজে নষ্ট হয় না। কিন্তু গরমকালে খাবার পরিবেশন করতে দেরি হলে বা আগেভাগে করা রান্না নষ্ট হয়ে যাবার ভয় থাকে শুধু নয়, নষ্ট হয়েও যায়।

তাই ভরপুর খাওয়া দাওয়ার জন্য হলেও শীতকালে বিয়ে এর জন্য উপযুক্ত সময়।

৫. পারফেক্ট ডেকোরেশন

বিয়েতে ফুল ছাড়া আবার ডেকোরেশন হয় নাকি? পারফেক্ট ডেকোরেশনের জন্য ফুল চাই-ই।  শীতকালে সব ধরনের ফুলই সহজলভ্য। হাত বাড়ালেই ফুল আর ফুল। ফুলের সহজলভ্যতা বিয়ের উৎসবকে আরও বেশি জমকালো আর অভিজাত করে তোলে। ডালিম, রজনীগন্ধা, অর্কিড, গাঁদা, গোলাপ, জুঁই – সব ধরনের ফুল পাওয়া যায় প্রায় অর্ধেক দামে। ফুলের রঙ আর গন্ধে মন ভালো হয়ে যায় সবার।

৬. বাড়তি ফল কেনার ঝামেলা নেই

সাধারণত গরমের সময় নানান মৌসুমী ফল পাওয়া যায়। তবে শীতে আম, লিচুর ফলন খুব একটা নেই, তাই ফল কেনার ঝামেলাও নেই। তাই শীতের সময় বিয়ে হলে মৌসুমী ফল কেনার ঝামেলাও নেই। একান্ত দরকার হলে ফল নয় বরং বাম্পার সবজি ফুলকপি নেয়া যায় শ্বশুরবাড়ি। এত বড় সাইজের ফুল পেয়ে কার না মন ভালো হয়? আর পছন্দ না হলেও সমস্যা নেই, রান্না করে খাওয়া তো যাবেই।

৭. শীতকালে বিয়ে করলে অতিরিক্ত খরচ নেই

শীতের সময়ে দিন গুলো খুব একটা বড়ো না হওয়ায় আয়োজনের সুবিধা হয়, যেমন কম সময়ের মধ্যে অনুষ্ঠান গুলো ভাগাভাগি করে নেয়া যায়। ফলে শীতকালে বিয়ে হলে বিকেলের মধ্যে আত্মীয়দের খাওয়ানো সহ সব কাজ সেরে নেয়া যায়। এতে টাকা পয়সার অপব্যবহার বা অতিরিক্ত কোনো খরচ হয় না।

৮. বিদ্যুৎ বিলে সাশ্রয়

শীতকালে বিয়ে হলে ফ্যান চালাতে হয় না, তার ওপর নতুন বউ ঘরে থাকলে তাড়াতাড়ি ঘুমানোর একটা তাড়া থাকে বলে গুজব আছে। তাই তাড়াতাড়ি ঘুমানো মানে, সব লাইট-টিভি বন্ধ। আর সেই কারণে আপনার বিলটাও কম আসবে। বিশ্বাস না হলে পরীক্ষা করে দেখতে পারেন।

৯. শীতকালে বিয়ে করলে মশারি টানানোর ঝামেলা নেই

বিয়ের আয়োজনে সাধারণ বাড়িতে বহু মানুষের উপস্থিতি থাকে। কিন্তু একটি পরিবারে অতিরিক্ত মশারি তেমন থাকে না। তাই শীতকালে বিয়ে হলে সুবিধা, বেশিরভাগ সময় মশারি দরকার হয় না। ঘরের অনেক কাজ করলেও অনেকেই মশারি টানানো বাড়তি ঝামেলা মনে করেন। অলসতা বা অন্য কোনো কারণই হোক না কেন শীতে মশারি টানানো নিয়ে আপনার কোনো টেনশন নেই। এমনিতে মশা কম থাকে। কারণ কম্বল মুড়ি দিয়ে ঘুমালে মশা কামড়ানোর কোনো চান্স নেই।

১০. জম্পেশ হানিমুন

তবে ভালো-মন্দ মিলিয়ে শীতের সময়টা ঘোরাঘুরির জন্য এক্কেবারে পারফেক্ট। নতুন বিবাহিত দম্পতির বিবাহের পরে একসাথে ছুটি কাটানোর অর্থাৎ হানিমুনের জন্য সবথেকে ভালো সময় এটি। শীতকালে বিয়ে এবং এর পরে হানিমুনে ঘোরাঘুরিটা জমে বেশ। পরস্পরের পাশাপাশি থেকে উষ্ণতাও ভাগাভাগি করা যায়, সেই সুযোগে সঙ্গীকে চিনে নেয়া যায়, জেনে নেয়া যায়। আবার হোটেল সহ সব জায়গায় কাপল প্যাকেজ থাকায় নব-বিবাহিতরা অনেক সুবিধা পেয়ে থাকেন। তাই বিয়ে এবং হানিমুনের জন্য শীতের সময়টাই উপযুক্ত।
